Viridescent Epiphyte (Duo Show)
The Briggait, Glasgow

Four "habitats" occupy the floor of the gallery Each "habitat" is part of a living system The processes mimic digestion Motifs trace a narrative thread throughout the gallery Becoming objects reminiscent of devices and instruments Ceramics are bodily forms, organ vessels Seperation between components draw attention to the negative space "Tailings", works of quartz mineral and quartz glass A collaborative CO2 diffuser between Rimmer and Hislop Ceramics are part-fired, unvitrified, to act as filters for water purification Collaborative CO2 diffuser between Rimmer and Hislop Sculpted "Tailings" meet Tailings from unnatural landscape
